R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and January 31, 2005, marks this momentous occasion in 
the lives of Raul and Luz Gonzalez of Harlingen; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez and his bride, the former Luz Ramirez, 
began their journey as husband and wife on January 31, 1955, and 
over the course of half a century, the couple have nurtured an 
ever-deepening love and respect for one another; and 
	WHEREAS, Today their relationship continues to inspire their 
close-knit circle of loved ones, including their children, Jose 
Miguel Gonzalez and his wife, Gloria, Juan Manuel Gonzalez, and 
Abel Gonzalez, and their beloved granddaughter, Jacqueline 
Michelle Gonzalez; family and friends are joining the couple for an 
anniversary celebration on February 5 at the Cottonwood Creek 
Country Club; and
	WHEREAS, Raul and Luz Gonzalez have shared the trials and 
triumphs of 50 years of marriage together, and they take great pride 
and pleasure in their roles as partners for life; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Raul Dominguez Gonzalez and Luz 
Ramirez Gonzalez on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
