                                                                  H.R. No. 162



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Liberty Hill High School's football team and school 
band have both attained an admirable level of excellence, as 
evidenced by their achievements during the 2004 fall semester; and
	WHEREAS, The Liberty Hill varsity football team has 
established itself as one of the four best football squads in UIL 
Conference 3A Division II; ably led by Coach Jerry Vance, the 
Panthers rolled for 479 yards and 27 first downs to claim the Region 
IV championship and a berth in the final four with a 42-21 win over 
the Hallettsville Brahmas; and
	WHEREAS, A number of band students have also performed 
impressively in UIL competition; earning a place in the all-region 
concert band are Kyle Jean, Jason Permenter, Kyle Turpin, Jerry 
Foster, and Rebecca Dorsa; selected for the all-region symphonic 
band are Anna Clarke, Lauren Gillespie, Casey Angerstein, Matt 
Lattanzio, Michael O'Neal, Jared Poe, Catherine Freed, Hallie 
Clarke, and John Wamsley; placing high enough to qualify for area 
competition and chairs in the state band are Anna Clarke, Lauren 
Gillespie, Casey Angerstein, Matt Lattanzio, Michael O'Neal, Jared 
Poe, and Catherine Freed; and
	WHEREAS, These exceptional young people, along with their 
coaches and instructors, are a source of tremendous pride to their 
families, to the students and faculty at Liberty Hill High School, 
and to their many supporters throughout the community; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor the members of the Liberty Hill High 
School football team and school band for their outstanding 
accomplishments and extend to each of them sincere best wishes for 
future success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for prominent display at Liberty Hill High School as an 
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
