R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS,  Lawrence "Buddy" Orsak, an agriculture teacher with 
the Three Rivers ISD, has been named the 2005 Educator of the Year 
by the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, After graduating from Mathis High School in 1979, 
Mr. Orsak attended Texas State University and earned a bachelor of 
science degree in agriculture; following college, he was hired by 
the Three Rivers ISD, where he has been an outstanding teacher   for 
the past 21 years; and
	WHEREAS, Reaching beyond the classroom, Mr. Orsak has served 
on the Live Oak County Fair Board, the Three Rivers Young Farmers, 
and the Live Oak County Go-Texan Committee for the Houston 
Livestock Show; and
	WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Orsak has enjoyed the love 
and support of his wife, Carolyn, a Three Rivers native; they have 
been blessed with three wonderful children, Whitney, Caleb, and 
Darcy; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Orsak is making an immeasurable contribution in 
the lives of his students and all residents of the Three Rivers 
area, and he is most deserving of special recognition; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Buddy Orsak on being named the 2005 
Educator of the Year by the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce and 
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Orsak as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
