R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Renee McGuire has been named the 2004 Citizen of the 
Year by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient of this accolade, Ms. 
McGuire has consistently demonstrated a commendable dedication to 
her community; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed Pearland resident founded Forgotten 
Angels, Inc., in 2001, fulfilling her dream of providing a 
community where challenged individuals are treated with respect, 
good care, compassion, and dignity; and
	WHEREAS, In addition to her efforts in behalf of the 
disabled, Ms. McGuire lends her time to the Pearland Regional 
Hospital Board and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and is a valued 
member of Sagemont Church; and
	WHEREAS, Renee McGuire's outstanding leadership and untiring 
devotion to the residents of Pearland have truly enhanced the lives 
of her neighbors, and she is an inspiration to all those who have 
been privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Renee McGuire on being named 2004 
Citizen of the Year by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and extend 
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. McGuire as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
