H.R. No. 232



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Pearland Chamber of Commerce has recognized 
A & A Cleaning Services as the 2004 Business of the Year; and
	WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade, first awarded in 1976, 
honors local companies that demonstrate exceptional leadership, 
creativity, and integrity; and
	WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient of the award, A & A 
Cleaning Services has earned a well-deserved reputation for 
service, and it is a growing asset to the community; the company has 
thrived over the years, growing from a staff of four to a staff of 30 
since its founding in 2001; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding local business was established by 
esteemed resident and certified public accountant Mona Chavarria; 
in addition to operating A & A Cleaning Services, Ms. Chavarria 
lends her time to a number of worthy civic organizations, including 
Rotary International, the American Business Women's 
Association-Pearland Network Express Chapter, and the Pearland 
Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as a Chamber Ambassador; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Chavarria's business is admired by patrons and 
staff alike, boasting an 80 percent employee retention rate and an 
innovative bilingual training program to meet the needs of a 
diverse workforce; and
	WHEREAS, Demonstrating the degree to which a successful 
business can make a positive difference in the community it serves, 
A & A Cleaning Services has earned the loyalty and admiration of a 
grateful citizenry; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate A & A Cleaning Services on earning 
the 2004 Business of the Year Award from the Pearland Chamber of 
Commerce and extend sincere best wishes to Mona Chavarria and all 
who work at this fine business; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the company as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
