R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Steve Friedman has been recognized as the 2004 
Ambassador of the Year by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, Organized in 2003, the Ambassadors is a group of 
dedicated members who help promote participation and goodwill 
within the chamber; the Ambassador of the Year accolade honors one 
outstanding member of the group who demonstrates exemplary 
leadership, attitude, and volunteerism; and
	WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Mr. Friedman has been 
actively involved in many chamber functions, lending his talents to 
assist with the Business Expo, the golf tournament, and the 
Christmas parade, soliciting new members, and promoting an alliance 
between the chamber and the board of Municipal Utility District 5, 
which he serves as director; and
	WHEREAS, In addition to his notable work with the chamber, 
Mr. Friedman donates his time to Youth Family Counseling Services, 
Community Foundation of Brazoria County, Exchange Club of Pearland, 
and CASA; and
	WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of commitment to 
community service, Steve Friedman has made a lasting, positive 
impact in the area and has greatly contributed to the success of the 
Pearland Chamber of Commerce; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Steve Friedman on being named 2004 
Ambassador of the Year by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and 
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Friedman as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
