H.R. No. 279
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving
moments, and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and
friends of Guillermo D. Franco of Clint, who died on December 13,
2004, at the age of 61; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Clint, Mr. Franco was a heavy
equipment operator for the International Boundary and Water
Commission; he was a veteran of the U.S. Army who had valiantly
served his country in the Vietnam War; and
WHEREAS, Willie Franco will be remembered for his love of
family and his contributions to his country; although his presence
will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of
those whose lives he so richly blessed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Guillermo D.
Franco and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to
his wife, Mary; to his sons, Guillermo Franco, Jr., Eduardo S.
Franco, and Samuel Franco; to his daughter, Patricia Marie Franco;
to his granddaughter, Madeline Raye Franco; to his brothers,
Enrique and Juan Franco, Jr.; to his sisters, Maria de Jesus Franco,
Maria Alicia Grijalva, and Maria Antonia Macias; and to the other
family members and many friends of this loved and respected man;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Guillermo
D. Franco.
