H.R. No. 292



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Charles and Douglas Ann Blue of Crane were surprised 
on their 50th wedding anniversary by family and friends with a party 
given by their daughters; and
	WHEREAS, The Blues were married on October 31, 1953, in 
Iraan; during their long union, they have raised two beloved 
daughters, Vicki Weaver and Charlotte Thurman, and welcomed five 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren into their close-knit 
family; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Blue have lived in Crane since 
September 1955; Mr. Blue used to work in the oil field and 
distinguished himself as Crane County judge for 24 years before his 
retirement, while Mrs. Blue has been a dedicated homemaker 
throughout their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Commitment and love have provided a solid foundation 
for the marriage of this fortunate pair for half a century, 
inspiring all who have been privileged to share in the richness of 
their life together; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Douglas Ann Blue on 
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best 
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Blues as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
