R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary is truly cause for a 
celebration, and Bill and Bobbie Simmons of Lake LBJ marked this 
momentous milestone in their lives with receptions at the Petroleum 
Club in Midland and at Quail Point in Horseshoe Bay; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Simmons and his bride, the former Bobbie Peters, 
pledged their mutual love and devotion in a ceremony held on October 
24, 1943, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada, Oklahoma; and
	WHEREAS, Forty-five year residents of Midland, Mr. and Mrs. 
Simmons became the proud parents of two sons, Bill and Paul, and 
through the years they have continued to enjoy a close and rewarding 
relationship; and
	WHEREAS, This loving couple have shared the trials and 
triumphs of six decades together, and it is a pleasure to join in 
honoring their enduring union; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby heartily congratulate Bill and Bobbie Simmons on 
60 years of marriage and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Simmons as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
