R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, James and Martha Jo Kiene celebrated their 60th 
wedding anniversary on March 30, 2004, marking a momentous event in 
their long and happy union among family and friends; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on March 30, 1944, in Los 
Angeles, California, the Kienes have built a loving marriage that 
has been blessed with two children, Candace and Dixon Kiene; and
	WHEREAS, Former residents of Midland, Mr. Kiene is a retired 
geologist and Mrs. Kiene is a dedicated homemaker; and
	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Kiene have nurtured a strong 
bond of love for 60 years, filling each other's lives with many 
joyful times and cherished family memories, and it is indeed a 
pleasure to honor their enduring devotion; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Martha Jo Kiene on their 
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kiene as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
