H.R. No. 325
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a momentous occasion,
and Wayman and Regina Corbell of Midland marked this special
milestone in their long and happy union on November 14, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Corbell and the former Regina Tooley were
married on November 14, 1953, at St. John's Church in Shreveport,
Louisiana; over the years, their close-knit family has grown to
include three children, Scott Corbell, Robin Compton, and Allison
Corbell, and a grandchild; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Corbell retired from Mobil Oil Company in 1990
after 39 years of service, and Mrs. Corbell has been a homemaker;
respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. Corbell are
valued congregants of First Presbyterian Church and St. Ann's
Catholic Church, respectively; and
WHEREAS, The Corbells celebrated their golden anniversary
with their family at a dinner in Austin; and
WHEREAS, The enduring marriage of Wayman and Regina Corbell
remains a source of pride and inspiration to all who know them, and
they are indeed deserving of warmest congratulations; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Wayman and Regina Corbell on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness in the years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Corbell as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
