                                                                  H.R. No. 326



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, George and Marilyn Dunton of Midland celebrated 
their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2004, with a family 
dinner, where their children presented them with the gift of a trip 
to Hawaii; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Dunton and the former Marilyn Stuckey were 
married on April 3, 1954, at Polytechnic Baptist Church in Fort 
Worth; they are the proud parents of four children, Darrell Dunton, 
Derek Dunton, Randa Olesky, and David Dunton, and they have also 
been blessed with 10 grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, An employee of Gulf Oil for 34 years and BTA Oil 
Producers for seven years, Mr. Dunton has been enjoying retirement 
since 1994; Mrs. Dunton worked at Gulf Oil for more than eight years 
and for the Midland Independent School District for 23 years; 
residents of Midland since 1956, the Duntons are members of First 
Baptist Church; and
	 WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Dunton have enriched 
each other's lives with love and mutual devotion, and it is a 
pleasure to join in honoring their enduring union; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate George and Marilyn Dunton on their 
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Dunton as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
