H.R. No. 337
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Bill and Betty Williams of Midland commemorated a
memorable milestone in their marriage in 2003 when they celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary with a special family dinner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Williams and the former Betty Loomis were united
in matrimony on October 16, 1953, at a ceremony held in Ada,
Oklahoma; five decades later, the loving couple continue to enjoy a
marriage built on love, trust, and mutual respect; and
WHEREAS, Throughout their long and happy union, the
Williamses have watched with pride as their family has grown to
include three cherished children, Kent, Brad, and Kim, and nine
beloved grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Valued members of First Baptist Church, Bill and
Betty Williams remain an inspiration to the friends and family with
whom they have shared the richness of their lives together; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Betty Williams on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for many more years of happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Williams as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
