H.R. No. 342



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Rodney and Mildred Maxson celebrated their golden 
wedding anniversary with a memorable reception hosted by their 
children on November 8, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, The couple were married on November 8, 1953, in 
Arkansas City, Kansas, and they have since been blessed with four 
children: Debbie Lawrence, Kent Maxson, Joan Stengle, and Tammie 
Wilson; through the years the Maxsons have also shared the joy of 
becoming grandparents as their family has grown to include 12 
beloved grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Maxson are retired from Sun Oil Co. and 
Schlumberger, respectively, and they are valued members of their 
community where they attend services at Holy Cross Lutheran Church; 
and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, the Maxsons have enriched each 
other's lives with their enduring love, creating many happy 
memories that will always be treasured; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Rodney and Mildred Maxson on the 
special occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Maxsons as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
