R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, John and Betty Marlow of Midland celebrated their 
50th wedding anniversary on January 31, 2004, marking this golden 
milestone with a special family dinner; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Marlow and the former Betty Ann Ligon were 
joined in matrimony on January 29, 1954, at First Christian Church 
in Electra; since that time, they have been blessed with two sons, 
Jeff and Mark, and they have also welcomed seven beloved 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren into their family; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have 
nurtured and sustained a special bond, and their long and loving 
union is an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to John and Betty Marlow on their 
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Marlow as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
