R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
rejoicing, and on April 24, 2004, Wade and Ruby Mitchell of Midland 
marked this significant milestone in their long and happy marriage; 
and
	WHEREAS, Wade Mitchell and the former Ruby Ratliff were 
married on April 24, 1954, in Stanton; over the past five decades, 
the couple have proudly watched their family grow to include four 
children, Allen Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, Debbie Sawyer, and Charity 
Black, and 10 grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, President of Petro Communications, Inc., from 1978 
until his retirement in 2001, Mr. Mitchell continues to act as a 
communication consultant for the company; Mrs. Mitchell worked for 
Midland County and Mid-Tex Parts & Service and retired from Petro 
Communications, Inc., in 1993 after 15 years of loyal service; and
	WHEREAS, The Mitchells have been residents of Midland since 
1960, having previously resided in Andrews and Stanton; they both 
are members of Midland's Fairmont Park Church of Christ; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell's enduring union remains a 
source of inspiration and joy to the family and friends with whom 
they have shared the richness of their lives, and this devoted 
couple are most deserving of warmest congratulations; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Wade and Ruby Mitchell on their 
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
