H.R. No. 350
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for
rejoicing, and on October 10, 2003, Johnny and Patsy Jones of
Midland marked this significant milestone in their long and happy
marriage; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones and the former Patsy Johnson were married
in Calvary Baptist Church in Midland on October 10, 1953; over the
years their close-knit family circle has grown to include three
children, Tanya Tinslar, Tami Jones, and the late Terry Jones, as
well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple have led active lives: Mr.
Jones formerly owned Johnny G. Jones Equipment Co., and Patsy Jones
has created a nurturing and welcoming home for their extended
family; both are valued members of Crestview Baptist Church, and
Mrs. Jones is involved in Community Bible Study; and
WHEREAS, The enduring union of Johnny and Patsy Jones remains
a source of inspiration and joy to the family and friends with whom
they have shared the richness of their lives, and this beloved pair
are most deserving of warmest congratulations; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Johnny and Patsy Jones on the
momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Jones as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
