H.R. No. 364
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Arturo Violante, president of the Greater Dallas
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, has made immeasurable contributions
to the civic and economic well-being of the Dallas area; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Mexico, Mr. Violante earned a
bachelor's degree from the National University of Mexico and an MBA
from The University of Texas; with extensive experience in
international business, he has worked around the globe, including
in Ireland, New Zealand, and Latin America, before he and his family
settled in Texas; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed professional has held various
positions, including tax auditor, sales director, brand manager,
strategic planning manager, and company president; some of his
accomplishments include the successful development of two start-up
companies into multi-million dollar organizations, the
organization of an international sales and distribution network in
Latin America, and the management of several international
businesses; and
WHEREAS, A progressive leader and businessman, Arturo
Violante truly merits special recognition for his work in behalf of
the Dallas area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Arturo Violante for his professional and
civic contributions to the Lone Star State and extend to him sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Violante as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
