R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Bob and Patricia Thames of Midland celebrated their 
50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2004, marking this golden 
milestone with a special family dinner; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Thames and the former Pat Drake were joined in 
matrimony on February 5, 1954, in Fort Worth, and since that time, 
they have been blessed with four children, Bob Thames III, Joe 
Thames, Jacque Cain, and Lynda James, and they have also welcomed 
eight beloved grandchildren into their family; and
	WHEREAS, Valued residents of Midland since 1963, Mr. and Mrs. 
Thames have lived in Greenville, Mississippi, Fort Worth, and Fort 
Stockton; they currently attend Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have 
nurtured and sustained a special bond, and their long and loving 
union is an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to Bob and Pat Thames on their 50th 
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Thames as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
