H.R. No. 376



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Fuddruckers is celebrating its 25th anniversary on 
March 1, 2005, and the occasion provides a fitting opportunity to 
recognize the important contributions of this organization; and
	WHEREAS, Founded in 1980, the first Fuddruckers was opened on 
Botts Lane in San Antonio and 2–1/2 decades later, it has evolved 
into a national restaurant chain, with more than 4,200 associates 
and revenues approaching $200 million annually; and
	WHEREAS, Among its 232 eateries across 30 states, Fuddruckers 
continues to maintain an important presence in Texas, where it 
employs almost 1,000 people; it sponsors children's literacy 
programs and hosts a national program, Benefits Night, with 
proceeds going to a number of charitable causes; and
	WHEREAS, Operating a successful business for 25 years is 
truly notable, and the economic rewards brought to Texas 
communities by this fine company are of lasting benefit to the 
state; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate all those affiliated with 
Fuddruckers restaurants on the company's 25th anniversary and 
extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Fuddruckers as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
