R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas takes pride in recognizing Clayton Ellis of Arlington on receiving a $1,000 scholarship at the 2005 TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program on February 2, 2005; and WHEREAS, The Neeley Entrepreneurship Program at TCU honored Clayton Ellis, owner of Clayton's Landscaping and Power-washing, with a $1,000 scholarship as one of the state's most impressive high school business owners; and WHEREAS, The businesses of the 23 finalists for the TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award accounted for $250,000 in total revenue in 2004, and the honorees are indicative of the entrepreneurial abilities of the young people across this great state; and WHEREAS, The 2005 TCU Young Entrepreneur Days was sponsored by Compass Bank, and scholarship winners attending TCU will be able to double their scholarship award; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Clayton Ellis of Arlington for his innovation and successful business practices; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared in honor of Clayton Ellis as an expression of esteem from the Texas House of Representatives.
