R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
takes pride in recognizing Clayton Ellis of Arlington on receiving
a $1,000 scholarship at the 2005 TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the
Year Award Program on February 2, 2005; and
WHEREAS, The Neeley Entrepreneurship Program at TCU honored
Clayton Ellis, owner of Clayton's Landscaping and Power-washing,
with a $1,000 scholarship as one of the state's most impressive high
school business owners; and
WHEREAS, The businesses of the 23 finalists for the TCU Texas
Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award accounted for $250,000 in
total revenue in 2004, and the honorees are indicative of the
entrepreneurial abilities of the young people across this great
State; and
WHEREAS, The 2005 TCU Young Entrepreneur Days was sponsored
by Compass Bank, and scholarship winners attending TCU will be able
to double their scholarship award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Clayton Ellis of Arlington, Texas for
his innovation and successful business practices; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor
of Clayton Ellis as an expression of esteem from the Texas House of
Representatives.
Recognizing Clayton Ellis of Arlington as the 2005 TCU Texas Youth
Entrepreneur of the Year.
