R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends mourned the tragic passing of
James Wesley Holbrook, Jr., of Dallas, on December 12, 2004, at the
age of 53; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong Texan, Jimmy Holbrook was a graduate of
Sunset High School and worked as a paint contractor; a hardworking,
amiable gentleman, he found solace in his faith and loved listening
to music and rooting for his favorite sports team, The University of
Texas Longhorns; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Holbrook was a devoted husband and the proud
father of five children, who may find some comfort in their
cherished memories of joyful moments together; he will certainly be
missed by all those who were privileged to know him; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Wesley
Holbrook, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his
family: to his wife, Diane Holbrook; to his daughters, Stacy
Holbrook and Holli Cook; to his sons, James Holbrook III, Brian
Holbrook, and Joseph Holbrook; to his father, James W. Holbrook,
Sr.; to his stepmother, Bobbie Sue Holbrook; to his sisters, Karen
Piper and Diane Medina; and to his other relatives and many friends;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
Wesley Holbrook, Jr.
