R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Charles and JoAnn Schoolcraft celebrated a
wonderful milestone in their lives together with the arrival of
their 50th wedding anniversary on November 20, 2004; and
WHEREAS, The loving couple were honored at a family
celebration on Thanksgiving Day at the home of their son and
daughter-in-law, Eldon and Shelia Schoolcraft of Midland; many
memories were shared at the reception, including the events of that
fine day 50 years ago when the Schoolcrafts were joined in marriage
in Colorado City; and
WHEREAS, The Schoolcrafts were married after the groom
returned from two years of service in the U.S. Army; the newlyweds
moved to Brownfield before relocating to Midland, their home of 46
years; today they are happily retired and enjoy spending time with
their three children, six grandchildren, and many friends; and
WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Schoolcraft have
nurtured a supportive relationship built on mutual devotion and
respect, and their enduring union remains an inspiration to all
those who have shared in its joy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th wedding anniversary of
Charles and JoAnn Schoolcraft and congratulate them on this joyous
occasion; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schoolcraft as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
