H.R. No. 409



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Bennie and Sue Richey of Midland celebrated a 
special milestone in their lives together with the arrival of their 
50th wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, The loving couple celebrated this joyous event with 
a trip to Las Vegas, a generous gift from their daughter and 
son-in-law, Karen and Bobby Evans; and
	WHEREAS, Bennie Richey and the former Sue Russell were 
married on September 18, 1954, in Bowie, and lived in South 
Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Arkansas, Louisiana, and 
Mississippi before settling in Midland after Mr. Richey's 
retirement from Texaco; and
	 WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Richey have nurtured 
a supportive relationship built on mutual devotion and respect, and 
their enduring union remains an inspiration to all those who have 
shared in its joy; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th wedding anniversary of 
Bennie and Sue Richey and congratulate them on this memorable 
occasion; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Richey as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
