R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on December 18, 2004, E. V. and Frances Scott of 
Midland marked this significant milestone in their long and happy 
marriage with a family gathering; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Scott and the former Frances Henderson began 
their journey as husband and wife on December 14, 1954, in Lawton, 
Oklahoma; and
	WHEREAS, Through the five decades of their marriage, the 
couple have been blessed with two children, Craig Scott and Melinda 
Willett, as well as four beloved grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Scott worked for Shell Oil Company and State 
Farm Insurance, while Mrs. Scott has been a devoted mother and 
homemaker throughout their marriage; residents of Midland since 
1959, the couple are members of First Baptist Church and Rotary 
International; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of this couple remains a source 
of joy to the family and friends with whom they have shared their 
lives, and they are truly most deserving of congratulations; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby warmly congratulate E. V. and Frances Scott on 
the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Scotts as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
