R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Barry and Helen Tisdale of Midland marked the 
milestone of their 50th wedding anniversary on December 11, 2004; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Tisdale and the former Helen Seeton were united 
in matrimony on December 11, 1954, in Ardmore, Oklahoma; members of 
First United Methodist Church in Odessa, they lived in Kermit, 
Odessa, and Temple before making Midland their home; and
	WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, the happy couple have 
been blessed with four children, Mike, Mark, and Dan Tisdale and 
Jana Horton, and nine cherished grandchildren; to celebrate this 
very special occasion, the family gathered to honor the devoted 
couple on December 9; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of Barry and Helen Tisdale 
remains a genuine source of inspiration to all with whom they have 
shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Barry and Helen Tisdale on their 
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes 
for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tisdale as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
