R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Fire Chief Danny Skinner has concluded a 
distinguished career in public service with his retirement from the 
Iowa Park Fire Department on January 31, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, Chief Skinner was honored at a special reception, 
where guests shared memories of his courage and dedication; 
indicative of the sense of community and fellowship among area 
firefighters as well as the goodwill felt toward the honoree, the 
ceremony was attended by more than 60 colleagues and friends; and
	WHEREAS, Chief Skinner has enjoyed the love and support of 
his wife, Francis, throughout his tenure, and his retirement will 
undoubtedly afford him the opportunity to spend more time with his 
family, including his beloved grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, This honorable Texan has spent more than three 
decades fighting fires, exhibiting heroism and unwavering 
commitment in the face of peril, and his actions have earned him the 
lasting admiration and appreciation of his fellow citizens; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Fire Chief Danny Skinner on his retirement 
from the Iowa Park Fire Department and extend to him sincere best 
wishes as he embarks on this new chapter in his life; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Chief Skinner as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
