R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
temper the profound sadness that the passing of Rosenda M. Garcia
has brought to all who loved this cherished woman; and
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Fabens and respected
parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mrs. Garcia
departed this life on March 30, 2004, at the age of 84; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia was the adored matriarch of a family
that includes her son and three daughters and the 13 grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren whose arrivals delighted this lovely
lady; and
WHEREAS, The heart of a devoted circle of admirers, Chenda
Garcia will long be remembered for her many kindnesses; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rosenda M. Garcia and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
children, Enrique Garcia, Jr., Dr. Rosa Maria Garcia, Grace G.
Herrera, and Gloria Stitt; to her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; and to all who mourn the passing of this
beloved woman; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rosenda M.
Garcia.
