R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jamey Baumgartner, Long Bui, Adam Newman, Andy Weiss, and David Wheelus of Marshall High School in San Antonio have taken first place in the fall qualifying competition of Junior Achievement's JA Titan online business competition, and this distinction is truly deserving of special recognition; and WHEREAS, These budding young entrepreneurs secured first place with their business plan to manufacture and market a "Holo-generator," a thus-far fictional device that plays music videos in three dimensions; and WHEREAS, In planning and executing a detailed business plan for their product, the team members developed crucial real-world business skills, and the experience they have gained in this venture will surely be an asset in their future careers; and WHEREAS, From their imaginative initial concept to their astute analysis of the challenges associated with launching a new product, these students have demonstrated intelligence and a sense of purpose far beyond their years, and it is with keen anticipation that their families and friends look forward to their further ventures in years to come; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Jamey Baumgartner, Long Bui, Adam Newman, Andy Weiss, and David Wheelus on taking first place in Junior Achievement's JA Titan online business competition and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
