R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Del Rio Chamber of Commerce is holding its 
annual banquet on February 25, 2005, at the Del Rio Civic Center, 
and this noteworthy occasion provides a fitting opportunity to pay 
tribute to the continued good work of this important association; 
and
	WHEREAS, A significant asset to the region, the Del Rio 
Chamber of Commerce has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to 
opening the doors of opportunity for local businesses, and, in so 
doing, it has helped them flourish and become a vital part of the 
South Texas economy; and
	WHEREAS, This year's banquet will honor outgoing officers and 
directors, recognize the chamber's Member of the Year, and pay 
tribute to Laughlin Air Force Base award winners; and
	WHEREAS, Actively working for the betterment of the 
community, the chamber has been a great contributor to Del Rio's 
economic vitality and a driving force in fostering leadership 
development, job creation, and a positive vision of the future; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce for its 
continued commitment to Del Rio businesses and extend to its 
members sincere best wishes for a memorable celebration; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
