R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Pete Peabody of Dallas has generously given of his time and talents to benefit his community; and WHEREAS, Mr. Peabody has volunteered as a tutor for students at K. B. Polk Elementary School, as a member of the Stevens Park Estates Neighborhood Board, and as vice president and president of Kessler Neighbors United Neighborhood Organization; and WHEREAS, This lifelong resident of Dallas also has devoted much time and energy to Preservation Dallas and the Conservation District, which he has served as a committee member and as subdistrict chairperson; and WHEREAS, A second-generation resident of Oak Cliff and a graduate of the University of North Texas, he attended the culinary program at El Centro College and currently works as a marketing manager for Sprint; and WHEREAS, Pete Peabody is a vital and valued member of his community, and his efforts in behalf of his fellow Dallas residents are truly noteworthy; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Pete Peabody for his contributions to his community and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Peabody as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
