R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on March 5, 2005, John and Birtie Stampley of San 
Antonio are marking this significant milestone in their long and 
happy marriage; and
	WHEREAS, John David Stampley, Jr., and the former Birtie 
Elray Brown were married in Clovis, New Mexico, on March 5, 1955; 
the couple have been residents of San Antonio since 1955; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stampley have been blessed with two 
sons, Michael David and Bryan Edward Stampley, as well as two 
grandchildren, Stephen Michael and Marc David Stampley; and
	WHEREAS, Over the five decades of their marriage, the 
Stampleys have nurtured a strong bond of mutual love, respect, and 
admiration; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of John and Birtie Stampley 
remains a source of inspiration and joy to the family and friends 
with whom they have shared their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Birtie Stampley on the 
special occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stampley as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
