H.R. No. 524
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse D. Moore of Mineola attained a
notable milestone in their long and happy marriage on January 30,
2005, when they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; and
WHEREAS, The Moores met on a cruise on the Potomac River in
Washington, D.C., while Mr. Moore was a member of the Army Air
Corps; they have been blessed with two children, Jerry Moore and
Judy Cole, and also two granddaughters; and
WHEREAS, After serving in the military from 1942 to 1946, Mr.
Moore was employed in aircraft maintenance for 35 years until his
retirement; Mrs. Moore, a devoted wife and mother, is now retired
from CIGNA; the couple have been residents of Mineola for the last
23 years; and
WHEREAS, Over the six decades of their marriage, the Moores
have nurtured a strong bond of mutual love, respect, and
admiration, and their enduring union remains a source of joy to the
family and friends with whom they have shared their lives; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Jesse D. Moore on the
joyous occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Moores as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
