R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, George Wolff of Boerne achieved an impressive 
success in the sport of horse racing when his horse, Leaving On My 
Mind, was named the 2004 Texas Horse of the Year in the 2-Year-Old 
Colt/Gelding class by the Texas Thoroughbred Association; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Wolff has been actively involved in horse racing 
for more than 30 years; he raises horses on his ranch in Sisterdale 
near Boerne, where he keeps five broodmares, and he has owned 
several stakes winners; he also owns the dam of Leaving On My Mind, 
Sudden Attraction, who was named 2004 Texas Broodmare of the Year; 
and
	WHEREAS, The Texas Thoroughbred Association is the largest 
state breed organization in the country, and it recognizes only six 
Texas champion racehorses each year; and
	WHEREAS, Owning a racehorse that is named a champion by the 
association reflects many years of dedication and contribution to 
racing and breeding in Texas, and for three decades, George Wolff 
has nurtured and developed outstanding racehorses; his commitment 
to the sport is unrivaled, and he is truly deserving of special 
recognition on this recent achievement; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate George Wolff on his racehorse being 
named a 2004 Texas champion by the Texas Thoroughbred Association 
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in the 
field of horse racing; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Wolff as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
