R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Virginia E. Price of El Paso was honored with a 
Recognize Achievement (REACH) Award by the YWCA El Paso Del Norte 
Region in November 2004 for her leadership in the community; and
	WHEREAS, The REACH Award acknowledges outstanding 
contributions by women in business, the arts, education, health, 
and community service; and
	WHEREAS, Owner and president of the management consultant 
firm, Genesis 21, Ms. Price was recognized in the business 
executive category for her work in behalf of 5,000 displaced 
garment workers; she partnered with job agencies and schools in El 
Paso, South Texas, North Carolina, and Albuquerque and Roswell, New 
Mexico, to assist workers in finding new employment; and
	WHEREAS, Virginia Price is an accomplished businesswoman who 
is ever mindful of the needs of her fellow citizens; truly an 
inspiration to all who know her, she is indeed deserving of this 
special award; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Virginia E. Price on her receipt of 
the REACH Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued 
success and achievement; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Price as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
