R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Interior design professionals are gathering at the 
State Capitol on March 1, 2005, to celebrate Interior Design Day; 
and
	WHEREAS, These design professionals meet the changing needs 
of the public by creating environments that are aesthetically 
appealing while also accommodating individuals of different ages 
and physical capabilities; and
	WHEREAS, Interior designers are experts in the elements of 
space, texture, color, and light; concerned with public health and 
the welfare of their clients, they are also extremely mindful of 
ergonomics, the flammability and toxicity of materials, and local 
and state building codes and standards; and
	WHEREAS, Combining creativity and an awareness of safety 
standards, interior designers contribute greatly to the lives and 
well-being of countless Texas citizens; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby recognize March 1, 2005, as Interior Design Day 
at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to all those interior 
design professionals in attendance on this special occasion.
