R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS,  Carina Garcia is graduating from South Texas 
Vocational Technical Institute (STVT) on March 4, 2005, as 
valedictorian of her class; and
	WHEREAS, The valedictorian demonstrates mastery of a 
school's coursework and is a shining example of dedication and 
persistence; this individual sets a standard of excellence to which 
all others may aspire, serving as an inspiration to students and 
faculty alike; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia, who was called for active military duty 
on February 22, 2005, has earned the respect and admiration of her 
instructors and classmates at STVT, and as she prepares to embark on 
her military service followed by a career as a pharmacy technician, 
it is most fitting that she be commended for her outstanding 
accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Carina Garcia on her graduation as 
valedictorian of her class at South Texas Vocational Technical 
Institute, and extend to her best wishes in all her future 
endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
