H.R. No. 620



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, For more than 30 years, South Texas Vo-Tech 
Institute in Weslaco has provided students with the tools necessary 
to succeed in a competitive job market; and
	WHEREAS, This nationally accredited institution offers 
short-term specialized career training to help students qualify for 
employment or advancement in their chosen fields; classes include 
clerical and office training, health care and legal instruction, 
and intensive English language study; and
	WHEREAS, The facilities of the Weslaco campus are monitored 
by an advisory committee that ensures the school stays current with 
the latest technology, equipment, and training methods; and
	WHEREAS, South Texas Vo-Tech Institute consistently 
graduates quality students who are fully prepared to contribute 
their hard-earned knowledge and skills to the prosperity of their 
community; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend the faculty and staff of South Texas 
Vo-Tech Institute for providing exceptional vocational training 
for area residents and extend to the current graduating class 
sincere best wishes for great success in all their future 
endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
