R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is a special milestone 
for all couples, but for Al and Martha Ann McHenry of San Antonio, 
it is truly a testament to unconditional love and hope; and
	WHEREAS, The couple were married on March 12, 1955, in Waco, 
and since that time this loving pair have nurtured a strong bond 
that continues to grow ever deeper in admiration, trust, and mutual 
respect; and
	WHEREAS, During their five decades of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. 
McHenry raised two daughters and a son, and time shared with one 
another has always been the most important expression of love for 
this close-knit family; over the course of this time together, the 
McHenrys have traveled across the United States and to several 
locations during their service in the ministry including San 
Antonio, South Texas, and Arizona; and
	WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably throughout the 
years of their marriage, yet Al and Martha Ann McHenry have 
continued to cherish traditional family and moral values; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple's commitment to each other 
remains a source of inspiration and joy to all those dear to them, 
and it is indeed a privilege to share in their inspiring love story; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th wedding anniversary of Al 
and Martha Ann McHenry and congratulate them on this memorable 
event; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McHenry as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
