R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Janie L. Walenta of Dallas has contributed significantly to her church, community, and state through her many years of exemplary public service; and WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Dallas with bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration, Ms. Walenta is currently employed as a senior consultant with O'Neal Communications Management; and WHEREAS, This notable woman has long served her community of faith as an active and respected member of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, and her recent selection to a second term as elder is a testament to her leadership; and WHEREAS, In keeping with her commitment to the wider community, Ms. Walenta has benefited her fellow citizens through her service as a precinct chair and election judge as well as through her involvement in Dallas Republican Career Women, the Bayview Century Club, and the Westlake Republican Women's Club, a group she has twice served as president; and WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Ms. Walenta enjoys the love and support of her devoted husband, Ronald J. Walenta, with whom she has celebrated 25 years of marriage; and WHEREAS, Janie Walenta remains an inspiration to all who are privileged to know her for her myriad contributions to the greater good; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Janie L. Walenta for her dedication to her church, community, and state and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Walenta as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
