H.R. No. 635


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 65th anniversary is truly a remarkable event in the lives of two people, and Chesley and Iris Tipton of Big Sandy celebrated this momentous occasion in their marriage on December 25, 2004, with a family dinner in Tyler; and WHEREAS, Chesley Tipton married the former Iris Boatwright on December 25, 1939, in Olden, and since that time their union has been blessed with three children, Tom Tipton and his wife, Sharon, Dan Tipton and his wife, Joanie, and Joy Garbs and her husband, Charles, as well as six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Native Texans, Mr. Tipton retired as a carpenter after working for many years for Mack Shaw Construction and Denson Construction Company in Tyler; Mrs. Tipton has been a devoted mother and homemaker; and WHEREAS, The Tiptons have shared 65 years together, nurturing a strong bond of love and filling each other's lives with many happy times and cherished memories, and it is indeed a privilege to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Chesley and Iris Tipton on the joyous occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary, and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tipton as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
