R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Rick Del Bosque, director of the Alice Boys and
Girls Club, has been presented a Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Humanitarian Award by the mayor of Alice; and
WHEREAS, Profoundly influenced by his boxing coach, Bill
Zimmatore, who was paralyzed from the neck down, Mr. Del Bosque has
spent more than 20 years both as a professional and as a volunteer
working in behalf of children in his community; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his service with the Alice Boys and
Girls Club, he is active with the Children's Trust Fund, an advisory
group focused on child abuse prevention projects; and
WHEREAS, Also contributing his time and expertise to Junior
Achievement, the chamber of commerce, and the Jim Wells Leadership
Group, this outstanding Texan addresses the practical needs of
Alice residents, who are indeed fortunate that Rick Del Bosque
continues to live in and contribute so greatly to his beloved
hometown; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Rick Del Bosque on his receipt of a
Martin Luther King, Jr., Humanitarian Award from the office of the
mayor of Alice and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Del Bosque as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
