R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may temper the profound sadness that the passing of Gee H. Moy Woo of Houston brings to all who loved this charming woman; and WHEREAS, Born on September 15, 1924, in On Fern, Toishan, Guangzhoung, China, she departed this life on January 27, 2005, at the age of 80; this lovely lady came to the United States in 1950 and lived in Salt Lake City and Virginia before moving to Houston, where she had made her home for the past 40 years; and WHEREAS, The matriarch of a fine family, she adored her children and grandchildren and forged loving relationships with her descendants; and WHEREAS, The presence of this remarkable woman was a blessing in the lives of countless individuals who will long remember and cherish the times that they shared; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gee H. Moy Woo and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband of more than 60 years, Alan Pahn; to her daughters, Linda and Bona; to her sons and their wives, Richard and Jania, Don and Nancy, and Glenn and Michelle; to her grandchildren, Eric, Benita, Cynthia, Paula, Christian, Lauren, Austin, Dylan, and Chanee; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gee H.
