R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, It has long been the custom of the House of Representatives of the State of Texas to honor the children of its members by electing them to the office of mascot; and WHEREAS, A roster of mascot candidates eligible for this special recognition under the rules of this house has been compiled; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby elect the following children of house members to the honorary office of mascot: Sofia Natalia Anchia, daughter of Representative Rafael Anchia; Foster Kirk Askew, Faith Rene Askew, Sterling Edward Askew, and Reagan Askew Bohac, children of Representative Dwayne Bohac; David Jackson Carmichael Bonnen, son of Representative Dennis Bonnen; Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego, son of Representative Pete Gallego; Sterling Jack Gattis, son of Representative Dan Gattis; Genevieve Isabela Toureilles and Christopher John Marc Toureilles, children of Representative Yvonne Gonzalez Toureilles; Claire Anne Hegar, daughter of Representative Glenn Hegar; Annalisa Herrero and Andrea Herrero, daughters of Representative Abel Herrero; Kuentin Martinez, son of Representative Armando "Mando" Martinez; Diego Andres Solis, son of Representative Jim Solis; Robyn Straus, daughter of Representative Joe Straus; and Bella Lincoln Villarreal, daughter of Representative Mike Villarreal; and, be it further RESOLVED, That pictures of the mascots appear on the picture panel of the Texas House of Representatives and that an official certificate be prepared for each mascot as a memento of this honor.
