R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Residents of the city of Mansfield and members of 
the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce are gathering at the State 
Capitol on March 10, 2005, to celebrate the contributions of their 
fair city; and
	WHEREAS, Located in the southeast corner of Tarrant County in 
the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Mansfield is one of the fastest 
growing cities in the county; and
	WHEREAS, The community is flourishing economically and owes 
much of its stability to the leadership provided by the Mansfield 
Area Chamber of Commerce, which represents more than 650 business 
organizations throughout the area; bringing local businesses 
together to support public policy initiatives that meet the needs 
of employers, employees, clients, and customers, the members of the 
chamber of commerce have significantly influenced the economic 
growth and vitality of Mansfield; and
	WHEREAS, Mansfield residents have taken care to preserve the 
area's many amenities while keeping pace with the city's growth and 
economic development, and they are justifiably proud of their 
thriving hometown; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby recognize March 10, 2005, as Mansfield Day at 
the Capitol, commend the members of the Mansfield Area Chamber of 
Commerce on their achievements, and extend sincere best wishes to 
those in attendance today for a memorable visit to the seat of Texas 
government.
