R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Words cannot express the deep sadness felt by the friends and family of Curtis Lynn Raburn of Denton, who departed this life on May 22, 2004, at age 41; and WHEREAS, Born on November 20, 1962, to Jerry and Avie Raburn in Waurika, Oklahoma, Mr. Raburn worked as a production manager for Service-King of Plano; a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, he was a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse and the Harley Davidson Toy Ride for Kids; and WHEREAS, A loving son, brother, uncle, and stepfather, Mr. Raburn was devoted to animals, nature, and the underdog; his hunting trips with his stepson and the good-natured jokes he shared with his sister will certainly be missed, but his kind heart and gentle humor will never be forgotten by those who were privileged to know and love this special soul; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay special tribute to Curtis Lynn Raburn and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Jerry and Avie Raburn; to his sister, Cissy Martin; to his stepson, David Ryan King; to his brother-in-law, Mitchell Martin; to his beloved niece, Mackenzie Martin; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Curtis Lynn Raburn.
