R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Benito Ochoa, Jr., and Maria de Rosario Ochoa of
Port Isabel recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in
the company of their loved ones; and
WHEREAS, Joined in matrimony in 1949, Mr. and Mrs. Ochoa
marked five and a half decades of marriage on December 18, 2004,
with an observance at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church,
followed by a reception that evening at the South Padre Island
Convention Centre; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ochoa enjoy a fulfilling relationship
based on mutual love, trust, and respect, and they have been richly
blessed with a cherished family; they have imparted their personal
values and strong faith to their seven children, including sons
Bennie, Juan, and Saul Ochoa and their respective wives, Teresa,
Patricia, and Daisy, and their daughters and their husbands, Elma
and Moises Galvan, Virginia and Steve Owens, Marianella and Whitman
W. Bodden, and Maria de Rosario and Victor Garza; and
WHEREAS, Adding to their immeasurable happiness are 21
treasured grandchildren, including Bo, Analaura, Erica, Jude,
Jonathon, Evelyn, Saulito, and Claudia Ochoa, Elizabeth and
Rosemary Galvan, Nicole Martinez, Elma Teresa, Carlo, and Hugo
Garza, Isabel, Ariel, and Eriberto Pena, and his wife, Nikki,
Shelby Bodden and her husband, Miguel Hernandez, and Michelle,
William Johnathan, and Whitman L. Bodden and his wife, Cassandra
Gonzalez; and five great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Hunter,
Corrine, Jonah, and Hailey; and
WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have shared the trials
and triumphs of 55 years of marriage and parenthood, and it is a
pleasure to join in honoring them at this special time; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Benito Ochoa, Jr., and Maria
de Rosario Ochoa on the joyous occasion of their 55th wedding
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Ochoas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
