R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, St. Thomas' Episcopal School in Houston is observing 
the 50th anniversary of its founding with a Golden Gala celebration 
to be held on April 16, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout the school's notable history, the young 
men and women of St. Thomas' have thrived in its supportive 
environment while mastering a challenging curriculum; among recent 
achievements that merit special recognition are the school's proud 
claim to having the 2004 Juvenile World Champion Pipe Band and the 
2004 U.S. and British Overseas Highland Dancing Champion and having 
won the 2004 State Mock Trial Championship; moreover, its highly 
regarded music and string programs have produced seven members who 
perform with the prestigious Houston Youth Symphony; and
	WHEREAS, For five decades, St. Thomas' Episcopal School has 
nurtured many exceptional students with a solid foundation of 
academics, extracurricular activities, and moral guidance, and the 
Golden Gala provides a fitting opportunity to honor all those who 
have contributed to the school's accomplishments; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate St. Thomas' Episcopal School on its 
50th anniversary and extend to all involved with this celebration 
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
