H.R. No. 838



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Clevy and Leona Hancock of Midland marked a special 
day in their lives on February 14, 2005, when they celebrated their 
67th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Manor Park; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on February 14, 1938, in 
Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Hancock have since been blessed with two 
children, Roy Hancock and Phyllis Schmidt; moreover, they have 
shared in the joy of welcoming four grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren into their close-knit family; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hancock moved to Midland after living 
in Hobbs, New Mexico; during their careers, he worked for Phillips 
Oil Company for 40 years, and she was employed with Hobbs Drugstore 
for a quarter-century; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and mutual respect, and as they pause to reflect on 
their many happy times and cherished family memories, it is a 
pleasure to join in honoring them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Clevy and Leona Hancock on their 
67th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Hancocks as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
